Jasmins

Can you read that? the BEST kebabs in Sydney! Since we're still in the hunt for the best kebab in Sydney, there is no reason why I don't drop by the sister restaurant of Jasmin 1, the Jasmins.
Jasmins is located in Sydney south west suburb, Lakemba. All along the narrow Haldon St of Lakemba are cramp with Lebanese restaurants and Pakistani grocery shops. We were fortunate enough to get a car park right in front of Jasmin 1 after 3 rounds of parking hunting!

Jasmins was crowded, we were initially being given a seat at the long communal table right before the counter, but was later moved to a smaller table for 2 when the table was freed.
Did i mention that it's sister restaurant is Jasmin 1? Well, my mistakes, after a brief chat with the waiter/owner, we were told they are no longer in partnership. Though they still keep the name, and there are still a lot of similarity between the 2 restaurant.
They have a smaller menu, and cheaper priced! Their kebab was only $5 !!! Cheapest in Sydney that is for sure. My husband order the same mix plate, this time it's only priced at $13. I order the same doner kebab. Later did i realised, the doner kebab that i have ordered, is not the food court style, instead,it's a whole plate of kebab meat! The $5 dollar kebab ( which will be the food court style ) is for take away only! I'm was feeling a bit disappointed but husband assure me that he will help me finish my plate of meat!

Complimentary Pickle

Their complimentary pickle dishes are exactly the same as Jasmin 1, we're happy to see that they are a little more generous with their bread.

Complimentary Lebanese bread

Complimentary dips: Chili, garlic and tahini

They also give us 3 plates of complimentary dips, the tahini ( sesame dip ), the toum (garlic dip ), and the chili dip. This is the first time we were being given chilli dip, which is really good, as i love the heat of chili. Tahini is full of zing from the infusion of lemon and the toum was ever so good.

Doner Kebab ( dined in style ) $ 16

My doner kebab arrived in style, huge pile of shredded meat, heavily spiced and with a strong burnt flavour. It's very smoky, and very delicious. I did not regret ordering this instead of the boring food court style kebab. And yes, I share this mountains of meat with husband,

Mix Plate $13
Consist of : hummus, baba, 2 felafel, 1 kebeh, shredded chicken, beef and lamb and tabbouleh

We felt a sense of dejavu when the mix plate of husband arrived. It's quite similar to the one in Jasmin 1,even their felafel tasted similar. The only difference is they give us 2 felafel instead of 3, and the meat is also a little bit less in quantity when compare to Jasmin 1. But hey, it's 3 dollar cheaper, so we don't have any complain.

Overall, the food is fast, fresh, and very cheap. I'm so tempted to come back again very soon to buy the $5 doner kebab ( takeaway style ! )
